That didn’t take long

I think it was less than a week after my last post that my water finally broke. Thank god. Water broke at about 2am and I had Calvin at 12:42pm. He didn’t make me wait too long in labor either. Good kid

It has been too long since the last post, sorry about that. We are still here and doing well. I have been nesting like a crazy pregnant lady.  This giant belly has kept me from doing too much else.

The Dinner I Should Have Taken a Picture Of.

It was so yummy. If you get Cook’s Illustrated it is the Sichuan Stir-Fried Pork in Garlic Sauce in this month’s issue. We used asparagus instead of celery and mushrooms because that is what we had. It was yummy.

We just kept eating it.

Coloring Contest

Grandma helped Garnet enter her first coloring contest. Beautiful. Eh?

She has already started on her next masterpiece.

We have also started to explore other mediums

Santa Barbara

We got to spend the weekend in Santa Barbara, California celebrating a wedding. We had so much fun visiting with family. The beautiful weather didn’t hurt either!

We weren’t sure we were even going to make it because of the bad weather that had hit us here and in Seattle. With some changed plans and help from our favorite airline ( Go Alaska!!! ) we made it just fine!

Did I mention the amazing weather? So much sun all day everyday. It was warm enough for a light sweater, if that, the whole time. Fantastic!

This kid of ours is a dancing machine! She danced longer and harder than any of us. She took very few breaks, even when I tempted her with a drink she just took it back out on the dance floor with her.  She would dance with anyone, busted into any circle she found, and entertained us all night.

Gotta protect these eyes from all the sunshine here!

There was a big puddle of water where he is laying, but he fixed it. Thank you, Dear. I really enjoy hot water.

Warm Winter

It has been just warm enough for a couple quick trips to the park.

Usually we go to the indoor one though. It has been full of kids lately. She seems to enjoy it!

End of the year

Boy!!!

We had our anatomy scan and everything looks good, and we found out that it is a boy! We are thrilled!

I think he looks like his daddy, see those cheeks?!?

Now to start the hunt for a name!
